  1. The shadow play in #1 is really great, and the lighting in #2 is nice. I love that his face is blurred in #5- I think this one is my favorite because you have to determine his portrait from what he's wearing and his surroundings. The lighting effect in the last one is really beautiful.

  2. My favorites are 1,2,4 and 6. The first one, I would try and play around with the cropping but leave the other ones as they are. very well done.

  3. The last picture is nice, but I almost wish the person wasn't smoking. The beam of light that streaks across the page is very dramatic and would make more of a statement without the blurriness of the smoke.

  5. I think the fourth one has an interesting angle that makes it fun to look at.

  6. I really like the first and second, I think they both have good lighting and the first one is fun. I do think they both could benefit from a crop.

  8. I like the first shot. It's pretty cool to see the person and their shadow, you just might wanna beef up the contrast more, or re-shoot with a stronger light source.

  9. The 1st and 4th are my favorites. They really take advantage of light vs shadow. Interesting compositions as well.

  10. 4 and 6 are so cool!
4 is such a different and unique composition and 6 really says a lot about the subject. the lighting in both photos suit them perfectly

  11. I like #1 and #4 best. #1 is just so cool! I like the contrast and expression in #4. It definitely says "morning" to me!

  12. I like #2 because of the way her body is posed & #6 but I would like maybe for him to be more of the focus so perhaps crop out a car's width from the left.

  13. I really like all of them, in particular the first three because they are all very different but seem to create a series. The first one is especially cool because of the great shadow.

  14. Love the first one with the shadows, its really fun and reminds me of being a kid again. The last one is really cool with the smoke and the sun beaming in.

  15. The second photo stands out to me. I'm not sure why, but I think it is because of the dramatic lighting and the sharpness of the shadows. It might be interesting to crop it very tightly on the right side to eliminate the chair and second wall/corner.

  16. the fourth one is great in terms of lighting and composition and emotion conveyed. i just wish it was sharper. did you use a tripod? the second to last image is good in terms of composition and it is interesting that his body looks stiff at the same time as it is moving. the first one is playful and has potential. i wonder if it might be better in a different space or with a crop? second also has great potential. i wonder if the light is too harsh, but im not sure...

  17. I like the last image, but I don't like all the cars in it, you might try to crop them out sort of, but I also like that he's not at the center of the frame... It's difficult. Also the streak of light is distracting, but there might be a way to edit it out in photoshop if you wanted.

The first one is also really cool. The subject is very sweet and playful looking, but the shadow is so creepy. The contrast is also really effective.

  18. I really like #1 and #2! I love the concept of the first photo, and the lighting. I think the facial expression really makes the image. I like the body position of #2. I think I would like it better if there wasn't the chair in the photo, maybe standing up? Overall it works well though.

  19. I like the lighting and focus of the fourth one. I also like the second one but I would zoom in a little more to the girl so there is not so much back ground.
